Day-to-Day Itinerary

Arrival Day – Arusha

Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Enjoy a scenic drive through the surrounding countryside as you make your way to your hotel or lodge, where you can relax after your international journey.

Later in the day, you will meet your safari guide for a detailed safari briefing. This is an opportunity to review your itinerary, discuss wildlife expectations, and receive important travel and safety information. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha as you prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Distance: ±120 km | Driving Time: 2–3 hours

Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its high concentration of elephants and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full game drive following the Tarangire River, where wildlife gathers throughout the year. Expect sightings of lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and diverse birdlife.

In the late afternoon, drive toward the Ngorongoro Highlands or Karatu area for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

Distance: ±240 km | Driving Time: 4–5 hours

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, enjoy changing landscapes from highlands to vast open plains. Upon entering Serengeti, enjoy a game drive as you head to your lodge or tented camp.

The Serengeti is renowned for its large predator population and endless wildlife encounters.

After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater rim and continue your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
