The journey showcases Tanzania’s incredible biodiversity—from endless savannahs teeming with predators and plains game to the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Expect unforgettable encounters with lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and, with luck, the elusive leopard and black rhino.
Traveling in a custom 4×4 safari vehicle with an experienced Kilimanjaro Mavens guide, you’ll enjoy well-paced game drives, handpicked lodges or tented camps, and a seamless safari experience ideal for couples, families, and first-time visitors to Tanzania.
Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Enjoy a scenic drive through the surrounding countryside as you make your way to your hotel or lodge, where you can relax after your international journey.
Later in the day, you will meet your safari guide for a detailed safari briefing. This is an opportunity to review your itinerary, discuss wildlife expectations, and receive important travel and safety information. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha as you prepare for your safari adventure.
Depart Arusha after breakfast and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti. As the landscape opens into endless plains, wildlife sightings begin even before reaching your camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp.

Game Drive Time: 6–8 hours
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s rich wildlife areas. Morning and afternoon game drives reveal large lion prides, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and vast herds of wildebeest and plains game. Your guide will tailor the day according to wildlife movements and your interests.

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward Ngorongoro. The route offers spectacular scenery as you ascend into the highlands. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim or nearby area in the afternoon and relax with breathtaking views.
