Day-to-Day Itinerary

Arrival Day – Arusha

Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Enjoy a scenic drive through the surrounding countryside as you make your way to your hotel or lodge, where you can relax after your international journey.

Later in the day, you will meet your safari guide for a detailed safari briefing. This is an opportunity to review your itinerary, discuss wildlife expectations, and receive important travel and safety information. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha as you prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Distance: ±120 km | Driving Time: 2–3 hours

Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full game drive along the Tarangire River, home to lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and diverse birdlife.

In the late afternoon, continue to your lodge in Karatu or the Tarangire area for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire – Central Serengeti (Seronera)

Distance: ±240 km | Driving Time: 4–5 hours

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Central Serengeti (Seronera). Enjoy game viewing en route as the landscape opens into endless savannahs. The Seronera region offers year-round wildlife and excellent predator sightings.

Arrive at your camp or lodge in time for an afternoon game drive.

  • Jul–Oct: Northern Serengeti (Mara River crossings)
