Depending on the season, you’ll track massive herds of wildebeest and zebra as they move across the plains in search of fresh grazing—whether witnessing dramatic river crossings in the north or the calving season in the south. Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Enjoy a scenic drive through the surrounding countryside as you make your way to your hotel or lodge, where you can relax after your international journey.
Later in the day, you will meet your safari guide for a detailed safari briefing. This is an opportunity to review your itinerary, discuss wildlife expectations, and receive important travel and safety information. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha as you prepare for your safari adventure.
Distance: ±120 km | Driving Time: 2–3 hours
Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full game drive along the Tarangire River, home to lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and diverse birdlife.
In the late afternoon, continue to your lodge in Karatu or the Tarangire area for dinner and overnight.
